Bra Town Fact:

We recommend being fitted every time you purchase a bra to ensure the correct style choice and most importantly the right size!!!

It is truly amazing how your body shape appearance can change just from getting the correct style and size bra.

How do I calculate my Size?

To calculate your size, we recommend you follow our Correct Fit Guide.

This is only to be used as a guide. (as all brands and sizes vary)

Step 1 - Bra Size

Measure around the body directly below the bust. Bra sizes go up every 5 centimetres, eg. 70cm = size 10, 75cm = size 12 etc.

It is important to remember to have a very FIRM, SNUG underbust measurement.

Step 2 - Cup Size

Measure across the fullest part of the bust.

Your cup size will be calculated by the difference between this measurement and the bra size measurement.

Back size of the Bra:

The Back of the bra should be sitting level with the underneath of front of the bust. Level all the way around the body.

The bra should be firm on the loosest hook without feeling uncomfortable.

Most of the support comes from the back of the bra, so if this is too loose and riding up the back the breast then fall down and forward at the front causing strain to the neck and shoulders and also no support for the breasts.

Bra Cups:

The underwires should sit flush on the skin following the outline of the breasts. The breasts should be encased in the cup with out it digging in or gapping.

· If there is breast tissue outside the underwires or are digging in at the sides, the cups are too small.

· If your breasts are bulging over the top creating 4 breasts, the cup is too small.

· If the underwires are sitting out from your body and your breast is coming out underneath, the cup is too small.

· If there is wrinkling or gapping in the cup this suggests the cup is too big.

Tips to make your bra last longer:

· When first purchasing a bra wear it on the loosest hook this will prolong the life of the bra. As the bra stretches with wear you can then place it on the middle hook later down the track when it has worn and stretched some more move it in to the tightest hook. It is time to get a new bra if you have no more hooks to move in.

· Moulded or padded bras are best kept on hangers in your wardrobe, to help keep their shape longer. Putting them in the draw can squash them creating dents or lines in the fabrics. Not a good look under a t-shirt.

· Always wash your bra by hand if you do not want to hand wash make sure you put them in a closed weave washbag in your machine on normal cycle this will prevent them from getting tangled up with other washing which can force the underwires to come out.

· Bras should be washed or at least rinsed after every wear. Sweat, deodorants and perfumes left in the bra for a prolonged period of time can deteriorate the fabrics.
